The Garden
"Plough deep while sluggards sleep." Here is when and how to grow.
The season now: 🍂 Autumn
Planting is governed by your frost dates and USDA hardiness zone as much as the calendar — the next build wires a zone lookup so this table speaks to your ground, not the average one.
By season (temperate, general)
- Spring — after last frost: tomatoes, peppers, squash, beans, corn; sow greens early.
- Summer — succession-sow beans and greens; start fall brassicas from seed.
- Autumn — garlic, cover crops, spinach and kale for overwinter; plant trees.
- Winter — plan, order seed, tend indoor starts; prune dormant fruit.
Companion planting, moon-phase sowing (an old almanack tradition), and per-crop how-to-grow guides are the next layer.
